All About Me

This blog came out of a season after God took me to a new and deeper level of understanding my position in Him, because of that, I aim to bring the message of freedom I’ve experienced to anyone willing to read my words. “Because of” is a phrase that grounds me, reminds me that it is because of what He has done on the cross that I have freedom, joy, and peace. Not by my works, but His.

I hope to be an encouragement to others in their relationship with Jesus, their marriage, and family by sharing the words God places on my heart from His word and my life experiences. I will say nothing new under the sun, but I hope these words will connect with and help others enjoy Jesus, His Word, and then live in the freedom that He offers.

I have been married since 1998 to my grace gift, Brian. We met in March 1998, shortly after I had surrendered my life to Jesus a few months prior. I had an encounter with Jesus that changed my life forever. The striving and rebelling was defeated sitting in an airport in Arizona holding onto a prickly cactus. Once I gave up this cactus and my rebellious heart, my life was changed forever.

Brian and I got married a few short months after meeting. Our marriage has been one of my greatest joys and sources of energy. We live in the Atlanta area and have four children currently all in different levels of school: college, high school, middle school, and elementary. It makes life full and challenging, and I have learned more about God, myself, and humanity by being a parent than anything else I have done.
